Face au Bois – Interior Project by Kelly Boukobza
Face au Bois is a minimalist interior project designed by Paris-based architect and designer Kelly Boukobza. Located in a calm residential area, the project creates a harmonious connection between architecture, light, and nature.
A Warm, Timeless Atmosphere
Natural materials such as oak wood, travertine stone, and hand-applied lime paint form the foundation of this warm and textural space. The interior feels both modern and timeless, carefully curated to invite calm and presence.

Lighting as Architectural Material
In Face au Bois, light is treated as more than illumination – it becomes part of the architecture itself. With integrated lighting from ONE A, the space achieves a seamless visual flow, where each detail is both functional and refined.
The lighting design was chosen for its subtlety and precision, allowing the architecture to breathe while supporting the natural flow of the space. Accents are placed with intention, enhancing surfaces, volumes, and textures without overwhelming the design.
A Dialogue Between Nature and Interior
Kelly Boukobza’s approach emphasizes quiet sophistication and emotional depth. As she notes, “To face the wood is to face time” — a statement that reflects the project’s sensitivity to material aging, texture, and the beauty of natural imperfection.
