House E Loon op Zand transforms a traditional rural dwelling within its residential context.

Welten Eliëns Architecten focused on daylight, spatial clarity, and a strong connection between interior and exterior. A roof light and central void bring natural light deep into the home. The restrained material palette of lime based finishes, natural stone flagstones, and travertine creates a cohesive flow from interior to outdoor areas, reinforcing the calm character of the house.

Custom-designed interior elements, including a wall cabinet, coffee table, and side tables, were fabricated and installed by the client, contributing to a highly personal and integrated interior. These additions replace previously separate furnishings, bringing greater order and visual calm to the living spaces.

The result is a refined and balanced home, where light, material, and spatial interventions work together to create a quiet, coherent living environment that feels both contemporary and rooted in its context.
